On June 29, 2024, Blue Cares hosted its 15th annual Sporting Clay Shoot at the National Shooting Complex. The event raised an impressive $27,575 in support of the Patricia Calderon Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to local high school students.
The Patricia Calderon Scholarship Program honors San Antonio police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Through this program, Blue Cares keeps their memory alive by empowering future generations through education. To date, the scholarship fund has raised more than $227,000 to benefit deserving students across the community.
Blue Cares continues its mission to support low-income and at-risk children and families throughout the year. The annual Sporting Clay Shoot is one of many efforts that help fund meaningful programs like this scholarship initiative.
