SAPOA Community Outreach

Blue Cares is the 501(c)(3) non-profit community outreach program of the San Antonio Police Officers Association (SAPOA), dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged, low-income, and at-risk children and their families. Through year-round services and assistance, we strive to provide essential resources, support, and opportunities to those who need them most.

Community outreach is vital because it strengthens the connection between law enforcement and the people they serve. By giving back, we help build trust, foster positive relationships, and create a safer, more united San Antonio. When families have access to essential resources, education, and support, the entire community thrives.

By working closely with local government agencies, schools, businesses, and fellow non-profits, we create meaningful change in our community. Our key initiatives include:

• Blue Santa – Bringing holiday joy to families in need with toys, food, and festive cheer.
• Patricia Calderon Scholarship – Empowering students through educational opportunities and financial support.
• We Care Kits – Providing essential care packages to families facing hardship.
