On Sunday, December 15, 2024, Blue Cares hosted its annual Snacks With Santa event at The Doseum. Over 300 local families from across the city were invited and came together for an afternoon of festive fun. Children received Christmas gifts, enjoyed snacks and refreshments, and posed for photos with Santa. The event brought joy and warmth to families who had applied through the non-profit’s program.
The Snacks With Santa event was part of the Blue Santa Program, founded in 1988 to bring holiday happiness to families in need. Throughout December, San Antonio Police Officers, Blue Cares staff, and volunteers sorted donations, wrapped gifts, and helped deliver items to underprivileged children. Their collective efforts ensured that every child who attended the event left with not only presents but also cherished memories.
Blue Cares continues its mission to support low-income and at-risk children and families in San Antonio year-round. Events like Snacks With Santa reflect the heart of the organization’s work and the dedication of the SAPD officers and community who make it all possible.
