Blue Santa is all about bringing hope and joy to families that struggle to make ends meet during the toughest times of the year, the holidays. Help support the SAPOA Blue Santa program by volunteering your time to serve on a Blue Santa committee. There are three different areas to help with: logistical planning, fundraising and community outreach.

Logistical Planning

LOGISTICAL PLANNING

Committee members who hep with logistical planning will be responsible for providing event planning support for the ten community Blue Santa distributions we will be hosting this year. The committee will assist the Blue Cares team with the following tasks: organizing toy assistance applications, organizing toys, and setting up and breaking down events. The committee plays an integral part in ensuring that each family requesting assistance receives holiday cheer from our Blue Cares family.

We hope to have many Blue Santa volunteers to help support our program. Committee members will work collaboratively with one another for successful event execution.

Meetings will be held bi-weekly via Zoom and in person.

FUNDRAISING

Committee members who help with fundraising will be responsible for helping Blue Cares secure monetary donations to support our Blue Santa program. The committee will assist the Blue Cares team with helping to identify new potential donors/sponsors and helping solicit donation requests. These volunteers plays an integral role in ensuring that Blue Cares has the funding support to ensure that each family that applies for toy assistance can receive toys for their children.

Fundraising will be limited to 10 individuals and will meet once a month via Zoom and in person

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Committee members involved in community outreach will be responsible for helping Blue Cares by encouraging toy drives from businesses and individuals. The committee will assist the Blue Cares team with identifying potential companies interested in hosting a toy drive or drop-off location. Additionally, these volunteers will ensure the successful execution of toy drives and follow-up with our sponsors.

Meetings will be held bi-weekly via Zoom and in person.
