The word scholarship is often associated with students who are graduating at the top of the class or students who are varsity athletes. Blue Cares, a non-profit organization and community outreach program of the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association, offers support to students with the Blue Cares Scholarship. The Blue Cares Scholarship honors San Antonio Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Fallen Officers are honored by awarding the Blue Cares Scholarship to well-deserved applicants each year. The Blue Cares Scholarship is currently accepting applications from graduating High School seniors until Friday, February 12, 2021. This is a great opportunity for students who want to further their education who are in need of financial support. The requirements are kept minimal to give most High School seniors a chance at being awarded the scholarship.
